Rising Sun Dark Rum

Christopher Moody in his brig The Rising Sun with 35 cannon and 135 men pirated off the coast of East Africa. Moody is largely remembered for his distinct Jolly Roger flag in gold on red. Moody took the kings pardon in 1722 and became a pirate hunter. It was in this enterprising spirit that Rising Sun Dark Rum was created to conquer the high seas.

Christopher Moody était un pirate au large de l’Afrique orientale dans son brick Le Soleil Levant avec ses 35 canons et son équipage de 135 hommes. On se souvient surtout de Moody pour son pavillon pirate en rouge et or. Reçu en grâce par le roi d’Angleterre en 1722, il est devenu corsaire.
